If you’ve spent any time with Celeste’s quests, you already know she’s got a thing for bringing life back to the surface, and this bee hunt is just another chapter in that saga. While you’re heading out for the hive, you’ll probably notice how often your runs get sidetracked by scrap, patrols, or the usual chaos, but grabbing the bees is nowhere near as complicated as folks make it sound, especially once you know where to look and you’ve got something decent from ARC Raiders Items to keep you from getting shredded out there.
Finding the Grove
You’re aiming for the Olive Grove in the southern stretch of Blue Gate, which doesn’t look like much at a distance. The map marker isn’t great and sometimes just refuses to pop unless you zoom all the way in, so don’t panic if you glide past it the first time. I’ve done that more times than I’d like to admit. Think of the Checkpoint in the centre of the area and just move straight south. Once the trees start getting dense and the light shifts a bit, you’ll know you’re close even before the label shows.
Staying Alive Long Enough to Look Around
The grove itself is messy. You’ll see players farming fruit for Scrappy’s upgrades or AI patrols drifting through as if they own the place. You’ll often hear a Leaper charging around before you spot it, so if the ground starts rumbling, don’t stand there thinking about it—move. Rocketeers also tend to wander into the grove from the east, and they’ve ruined more than a few potential clean runs for me. It’s one of those areas where you end up checking over your shoulder constantly because something always seems to spawn behind you.
The Actual Hive
Once you’re in the grove long enough for the game to nudge you with the “Search for bee hives” prompt, start heading toward the eastern side. You’re looking for a small shed that’s half-wire, half-rusted metal roof, the kind of thing you’d expect to collapse if someone sneezed near it. A simple trick that helps every time: check the word “Grove” on your map. The building sits almost exactly above the last two letters. When you walk up to the entrance, listen for the buzzing—it's loud enough that you’ll hear it before spotting anything. The hive hangs right under the roof, easy to grab, no special gear required.
Getting Out in One Piece
Once you interact with the hive, that’s it; the quest flags as done without sticking anything in your pack. It feels weirdly light for a collection task, but no one’s complaining about not having to carry a crate across half the map. Just keep your guard up as you head for an exfil point, especially if another squad is poking around the grove. It’s a quick job once you know the route, and having a bit of protection from something like buy ARC Raiders gear never hurts when you’re trying to avoid getting blown up on the way out.
