U4GM PoE 3 28 Mirage Guide 5 Day One Starters That Rip
#1
Day one in Mirage 3.28 hit me like I'd forgotten how to build a character. Two-pack mirages mean every "safe" pull turns into a dogpile, and you feel it the moment your flask uptime slips. I kept things SSF-lean, tested a bunch of staples, and tossed anything that relied on perfect positioning or paper-thin evasion. If you do slam into that early currency wall, having the option to buy Divine Orbs POE 1 can take the edge off while you're still trying to get your atlas online and your links sorted.
1) Kinetic Fusillade Ballista Hierophant
This was the clear winner for me, mostly because it doesn't ask you to be a hero. You drop ballistas, you move, you loot. Hierophant's reservation help means stacking eight-plus totems doesn't nuke your mana, and once the mirage copies start doubling your setup, the screen turns into overlapping kill zones. Acts felt fast even with scuffed gear, and the jump into reds was smoother than it had any right to be. The real perk is mental bandwidth: you're not constantly aiming, you're not praying your guard skill is up, you're just managing placement and staying out of obvious nukes.
2) Righteous Fire Chieftain
RF is still RF, but Chieftain makes Mirage density feel like free money. Hinekora-style pops chain through those doubled packs and you'll watch entire lanes vanish while you're just jogging forward. The catch is the same one people keep ignoring: your defenses have to be online before you pretend you're immortal. I wouldn't walk into red maps without pushing max fire res hard (think 90%+ with your setup) and making sure your regen isn't "barely fine" on paper. Mirage adds spike damage in weird bursts, and RF punishes you for being lazy about mitigation.
3) Minion Necromancer and 4) Holy Absolution Guardian
For summoner players, Necro stays comfy because your power curve doesn't hinge on one perfect weapon. Spectres and an Animate Guardian scale with the league's chaos in a way self-cast builds don't, and you can pivot gear piece by piece without bricking the character. If you'd rather play an aura-forward style, Holy Absolution Guardian feels surprisingly sturdy early. Radiant Faith gives you breathing room, and you don't need some absurd ES total right away—get stable recovery, cap your res, and the build does the rest.
5) Explosive Arrow Slayer and handling the grind
EA Slayer ended up being my "I'm tired of dying to random stuns" pick. Overleech smooths out the sketchy moments, and doubled packs actually help your clear because fuses stack and chain the way you want. It's not the flashiest, but it's steady, and steady is what Mirage rewards. If you're pushing into T16+ and you'd rather skip a night of side-content farming, some folks just top up currency through u4gm so they can buy missing fragments, mapping supplies, or that one upgrade that unlocks the next tier of pace without derailing their whole week.
